An interesting fact that is not known about you

I am a cancer survivor. Back in 2016, when I was in Grade 7, I was diagnosed with Stage 2 ALCL Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma Cancer. During the summer before my Grade 8 year, I went through chemotherapy. I am extremely proud to say I am currently 5 years in remission!

What are your future aspirations or dreams?

My dream would be working somewhere in which I can use my mathematics skills to help other people’s lives. Throughout my life, money has always been an issue. My family has gone through numerous tough financial times, which has drastically affected my life. I hope to get a career that would put me in a good spot and enable me to help others pursue opportunities without any setbacks. I haven’t been able to do much due to my circumstances, but this would set me up to hopefully one day travel the world, meet different people and learn about others’ lives.
